Amanda Munro made her musical debut with her solo project, "Clean Slate," released in 2021. The EP was nominated for Best Folk/Acoustic Album at the San Diego Music Awards in 2022. She has since moved on to start a new project and lifelong dream: an all-queer Americana band.
The band features Pat Calvelo on drums, who previously drummed for punk band Sugarpuss in Los Angeles. On the six string bass, erhu, and banjolele is the multi-instrumentalist wonder Maxine Tangles. Amber Selba adds backup vocals and lead guitar to the ensemble.
The quartet plays all of the original hits from Clean Slate, and Amanda has continued to pursue her raw and unique style of songwriting, now with a full band to add texture to her rhythm guitar and soaring lead vocals. The band plans to release a new single in 2023, and a full album in 2024.
Live, the band plays originals and covers. They have performed at restaurants, breweries, wineries, farmer's markets and private functions in New Mexico, Mexico, and Oregon. Subscribe below to stay posted on new music and live shows.
